If you could start a new business right now, what would it be?
I’m actually starting a new business. I’m going to start writing Christian fantasy. The current work is untitled. I’m almost done with the first draft. I plan on trying to traditionally publish it. It’s like if Star Wars met Pilgrims Progress and had a baby in middle earth.
I’ve published eleven titles in nonfiction over the years. In terms of self publishing, I am about par for the course. Therefore, I thought I would play my hand in Christian fantasy and see how it goes.
I also plan on writing a book on how the Bible helps those with high functioning autism thrive. I’ve outlined it already, and I draw from the Bible and personal experience on how the Bible has transformed my life as a person with high functioning autism.
Those are the projects I am working on. But they pale in comparison to the business of sharing the gospel.
Bad news: we have all lied, used God’s name in vain, stolen, and looked with lust. We are lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterers at heart. We all deserve to burn in Hell for all eternity.
Good news: God is rich in mercy. He sent Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, to live a sinless life, die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and rise from the dead three days later. God calls all people everywhere to repent (turn from sin) and trust in Jesus Christ to save them from sin.
God will seal His people with the Holy Spirit, who keeps His people saved, transforms them from evil to Good, and keeps them holy. God makes everything better.
