What’s a personal mantra or philosophy you live by?
Jesus said, “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (Matthew 16:25, ESV). That is my philosophy. Live your life to give it away to Jesus and find eternal life.
People too often live for themselves instead of seeking God’s Truth first. In fact, no one is good apart from Jesus. That is why we need Him. We need His righteous life to make us right with God. He needed to bear our sin so we can be seen as spotless. He died on the cross to pay the penalty we deserved to pay, but couldn’t.
Bad news: we have all lied, used God’s name in vain, stolen, and looked with lust. We are lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterers at heart. We all deserve to burn in Hell for all eternity.
Good news: God is rich in mercy. He sent Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, to live a sinless life, die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and rise from the dead three days later. God calls all people everywhere to repent (turn from sin) and trust in Jesus Christ to save them from sin.
God will seal His people with the Holy Spirit, who keeps His people saved, transforms them from evil to Good, and keeps them holy. God makes everything better.
