Give Your Life to Christ and You Will Gain It

If you had to sum up your life philosophy in one sentence, what would it be?

For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. (Mark 8:35, ESV)

My life philosophy is based on this passage. I want to give my life for Christ, not just physically, but also philosophically.

My entire life is about telling people the gospel and seeing how it changes their lives. Regardless of the response, I feel compelled to share the gospel with others. I don’t want to see people perish, but have eternal life in Jesus the Christ.

I personally feel responsible to share my faith, whether it costs me my job, family relationships, popularity, or life. I have suffered greatly for the gospel. Yet, I receive the most joy from being identified with Jesus

Bad news: we have all lied, used God’s name in vain, stolen, and looked with lust. We are lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterers at heart. We all deserve to burn in Hell for all eternity.

Good news: God is rich in mercy. He sent Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, to live a sinless life, die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and rise from the dead three days later. God calls all people everywhere to repent (turn from sin) and trust in Jesus Christ to save them from sin.

God will seal His people with the Holy Spirit, who keeps His people saved, transforms them from evil to Good, and keeps them holy. God makes everything better.
