What’s the kindest thing someone has ever done for you?
Many people know that Jesus Christ died on a cross for sins, but they don’t know why. See Jesus was sinless, the Son of God. He didn’t need to have his sins forgiven.
However, we do. We all have lied, stolen items that didn’t belong to us, used God’s name in vain, and looked with lust. That makes us lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterers at heart. That is just four of the Ten Commandments. We all deserve death and an eternity in Hell.
Yet, Jesus left his eternal glory aside and became a man. He lived a life of poverty, betrayal, and punishment for loyalty to God and His teachings. He performed miracles in fulfillment of prophecy. He died in the place of His sinful people, taking their punishment so their sins could be forgiven. Then He rose from the dead, defeating it. He has now ascended to heaven and intercedes for all who turn from sin and trust in Him to save them, calling on His name.
That is the kindest thing anyone has or ever done for me. My sins are forgiven.
