4 Bible Study Tips

One reason that people do not read their Bibles is that they think that they do not have the time. Bible reading must become a habit. You don’t have to wait for a sunny day when you are all alone in the park sitting on a rock. There are plenty of times and places you can find to read the Bible.

  1. When you first get up. Many people don’t realize how much time they have before they start their day. When I get up out of bed, I have my Bible right on my night stand. I spend about 1 hour reading my Bible right when I get out of bed. Other people could cut 15 minutes out of their day to read the Bible. That is three chapters worth of reading. Your morning coffee takes at least 15 minutes to brew before it is ready. You could read three chapters in Luke before your coffee is ready to pour.
  2. When you wait in line. People spend a long time in lines. To speed things along you could whip out your smart phone, pull up your Bible app, and read as you move along to the casher, DMV person, or your person taking orders for you at Chick-fil-a.
  3. When you are in the waiting room at the doctors office. It can take 15-30 minutes at the Doctors office. Instead of picking up the Time magazine read the latest trend, you could pick up your Bible and read about Jesus dying to save sinners from their sin.
  4. When you are on your lunch break. The average lunch break at work is about 15-30 minutes. You can pick up your Bible while you are eating your turkey sandwich and feed your body and your soul.
